Dental Implants

These are devices attached into the jaw bone to provide support for replacements of tooth that are missing either from extraction, trauma or otherwise ensuring that unsightly gaps are filled up in the dentition. This process involves several steps.

First, a titanium post is inserted into the jawbone. Over the next several months, bone grows around and stabilizes the implant.  This serves as a strong base onto which crowns, bridges and dentures can be anchored to restore the optimum function of the tooth. Dental implants also help to forestall further bone loss and its attendant effect of a sunken cheek.
