Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening can be considered if the tooth has been discolored due to a number of factors such as:

• Use of antibiotics (like tetracycline) in children during tooth development.
• Excessive fluoride intake including fluoridation during tooth development.
• Use of tobacco and betel nuts.
• Eating certain foods containing heavy pigments that stay on the teeth for a long time like carrots, cherries, curry, soy sauce and beverages like coffee, tea, cola and red wine.
• Aging

We offer two types of teeth whitening services:

1. IN-OFFICE WHITENING

Tooth whitening can be done in the dental clinic as a one visit procedure. This method takes about 45 minutes to an hour, it’s fast, safe and also reliable and an immediate result can be seen following procedure.

2. AT –HOME WHITENING

A custom made tray is made for you to take home and instruction is giving on application of whitening gel. Although this method is convenient as it fits your schedule, it may take about 2 weeks depending on compliance.

Tooth whitening however, is not permanent as it needs frequent touch up in about few months or yearly depending on habits like frequent smoking, drinking of coffee, tea, wine etc.
